HILL COUNTRY EQUESTRIAN LODGE (HCEL) POLICIES

Check-in is 2PM to 7PM, and Check-out is 11AM, unless other prior arrangements have been made with HCEL management.

All accommodations are non-smoking. A fee of up to $200 will be assessed for non-compliance.

A charge may be assessed for any damage to accommodations, or damaged or missing appointments or articles.

Reservations must be made no less than 48 hours in advance.

Charges for trail rides and lessons, and/ or for boarding your own horses will be added at check-out, per the rates published on the HCEL website. A weight limit of under 225 lbs. is required for all riders of Hill Country Equestrian Lodge horses; 170 pounds for jumping.

Plans for each day's riding activities must be confirmed by 5PM on the previous evening. Any cancellations or no-shows will be charged as scheduled.

If bringing your own horse, you agree to the Horse Boarding Policy, as published on the HCEL website.

If bringing a Pet, you agree to the Pet Policy, as published on the HCEL website.

All accommodations require stairs to access. Special accommodations must be arranged with management at time of making your reservation for guests with special needs in this regard.

There are no phones or tvs in the accommodations. There is limited cell service. Guests are welcome to use the land line at the office for emergencies and important calls. There is free wifi in certain rooms and locations on the ranch. Ask management for details.

All guests must sign HCEL's Disclaimer upon arrival at the ranch. Families are welcome. Parents are responsible for children's behavior and safety.

HILL COUNTRY EQUESTRIAN LODGE (HCEL) CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation Cancellation Policy. Your first night's lodging is charged at the time you make your reservation via the credit card you provide. If you cancel before your arrival date, the following policy applies:
1. If stay is canceled more than 30 days prior to your arrival date, your card will be charge 50% of the total lodging fees for your stay.
2. If stay is canceled fewer than 30 days prior to your date of arrival, your card will be charged 100% of lodging fees for the whole stay.
3. If you leave before your scheduled departure date, you will still be charged for the original reservation in full.
4. After your arrival, each guest's horseback riding activity plans are confirmed for the following day. Any cancellations or no-shows after that time will be charged as scheduled.
If notice of cancellation is given to Hill Country Equestrian Lodge, (HCEL) at least 48 hours prior to arrival date, and there are extenuating circumstances, HCEL, may, at its sole discretion, issue a credit for the same amount as the charge to the Reserving Party, which may be used as a credit for lodging charges at HCEL within 1 year after the original arrival date, certain holidays excluded.
